And for specialized interests, don’t miss the New Mexico Museum of Space History, in Alamogordo; the new Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, in Las Cruses; and the National Hispanic Cultural Center, in Albuquerque.

VISIT history on location at places like the Coronado Historic Site, where the 16^th-century explorer wintered during his search for the seven golden cities of Cibola; the Lincoln Historic Site, scene of a five-day battle that included Billy the Kid; and the Bosque Redondo Memorial, at Fort Summer, where thousands of Navajo were imprisoned in the 1860s.
