MOSCOW, RUSSIA

GOLDEN OLDIES

by Prapti

# The five-domed Assumption Cathedral was the burial place of the heads of the Russian Orthodox Church from the 1320s to 1700

This picture was taken at the end of a short audio tour of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in Moscow, on the second day of my Trans Mongolian train adventure-a journey I had dreamt about for years. It was my first trip to Russia and I didn’t really know what to expect. That day, the bleakness of the weather meant I was slightly miserable, but the view really blew my mind, I remember standing at the top of the tower feeling the harsh, cold wind on my face and being taken aback by the peaceful view of the rooftops, which seemed to pop out despite the grey, moody weather.” Mei-Kuen Tsui lives in London her favourite part of the trip was staying in a ger (yurt) in Mongolia.
